Currently on a three week break from an incredible June/July ordeal. Round trip commutes morning and late afternoon ... 60 km each way ... that's 240 km per day of which 120 km is in heavy duty rush hour stop & go nonsense ... by mid-July my eyesight was going strange ... as in seeing double while going at 100+ km/hour in heavy traffic is not exactly a Good Thing. And my mind tended to be so shot in between commutes that I have managed to get precious little done on my pet projects (the ones that keep me outta trouble when paying gigs are sparse. But I just have two more weeks of it after this three week break and then....? PiRatts ... Czech Letters ... Book of Seven ... Dumpwise ... Eden II or Paradise Misplaced ... My Memoirs ... etc ... wait and beckon. BTW I have managed to avoid ANY kind of commuting since 1977 when I became self-employed ... which could be why the double whammy version was such a shock to my system. The reason for this ordeal is not for disclosure at the moment.
